It is the single most requested job we do. If you are thinking about losing the bath, these are the things worth deciding before the quote.
Tray or full wet room?
A low-profile tray is quicker, cheaper and easier to replace later. A full wet room means tanking the floor and setting falls to a drain, which costs more but gives you a completely level entry with nothing to step over.
In an upstairs room with timber floors, both are possible, the floor just needs building up or recessing properly.
Water pressure and the shower type
A big rainfall head on a low-pressure gravity system will disappoint you. We check your pressure and flow before recommending a mixer, electric or pumped shower, so the shower you pay for actually performs.
Keep one bath in the house if you can
If you have a second bathroom, keeping a bath somewhere helps at resale and is handy for children and pets. If it is your only bathroom, a shower over a short bath can be a sensible compromise.
